Bishop Lewis Stallworth, The late Grandfather of Joel Stallworth was born on July 5th, 1923. During his 84 years of life Lewis, served in the Army, faught in WWll , raised 13 children, and maintained a mariage to his high school sweetheart for nearly 65 years. Lewis recieved his Master's degree in Psychology after being honorably discharged from service. He became a staple of the church and community by mentoring young men (Christ Temple Soldiers). The life of Lewis was inspiring to many others as well as his family. When Joel started lost in Los Angeles he made sure to pay homage to the life of his Grandfather . He printed a limited series of t shirts and crew neck sweatshirts with one of his quotes "I believe God" and "Go with God".  We wanted to spotlight his life today and share some of his acomplishments.   - P.s Mary and Lewis are one, when I talk about Lewis I talk about Mary.   

Amidst the violent hate crimes against Asian americans and 3 days in to the murder trial for George Floyd. The small shop would like to remind everyone to refocus their energy towards Love, because Love IS Energy. To love is a human super power that is the only thing that can overcome hate. Speed City Boys was created in April 2006 by Joel Stallworth.  The owner of the small shop. Joel is a man who speeds towards all of his goals in life with percision. He started his athletic carreer as a basketball player then later decided to take his talents to the track. Within two years he became two time west coast region athlete of the year, three time All American, and a world champion gold medalist. A full year has gone by since the start of the pandemic. What a whirlwind its been covid-19 has changed the entire world and the way we live. Here in America scarcity and feelings of uncertainty loom over most of our heads. The virus compounded with on the going fight for social justice and equality seeks to keep people divided, but we must fight. We must hang on to any and all glimmers of hope we have. We have to resist division and stand together to protect ourselves, and eachother. Support small business, and  black business and those in need.
